Driven by this core belief we strive to reach the most vulnerable, marginalised, underserved communities and members of society without leaving anyone behind.

MTN can only flourish when the communities and ecosystems in which it operates are healthy. In all we do, we strive to leverage our core capabilities to enable the socio-economic development of the communities within which we operate.

In alignment with the African Union’s Digital Transformation Strategy for Africa and MTN’s Ambition 2025 strategy, we have launched MTN’s Skills Academy as part of the shift in our Corporate Social Investment focus. Our approach to CSI is to systematically address job creation, enhance competitiveness and drive inclusive growth through Digital Skills for Digital Jobs. The Digital Skills for Digital Jobs programmatic approach, which informs the MTN Skills Academy, is anchored on multi-stakeholder partnerships with global and African-based organisations.

The MTN Skills Academy aims to provide access to digital and financial skills training across Africa. By bridging the gap between high demand and low supply, we aim to increase digital skills among young Africans, and increase employment opportunities. We do so while ensuring that we maintain an emphasis on addressing National priority areas aligned with the National Development Plan of each of our markets.

We believe that our vision to build sustainable societies can believe achieved through partnership and collaboration, helping in the realisation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

We actively strive to ensure that girls and women have the necessary skills and knowledge to understand, develop content, participate in and benefit fully from ICTs and their applications.
